[no Bug] Can't play music SOLVED (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Just upgraded to 1.3.0 Beta and having problems playing music. I actually had this as well in the Alpha release, but never reported.

The issue is as follow:
When I select a folder (containing music files) and push the play button, the music starts playing.
But when I select OK on that folder, MP hangs.
I can navigate in folders and subfolders as long as they do not contain music files.
I was expecting to get the list with music files belonging to that folder, but it hangs every time I try and no matter which music folder I try.

Logs are attached and hopefully someone can help

Hi Bas,

Does it really hang or does it seems to do nothing when you hit the OK button?
Can you check MP Config -> Music -> Play Settings:

If that's set like above, it only queues the file to the playlist, so that might look like it's doing nothing.

If it's something else, please try to reproduce your issue and collect full debug logs. Current logs don't give much info on this.

It really hangs. I have attached new logs. I started MP in the debug mode to get the logs. So if it is not enough, please let me know how to create the correct logs then.

It is strange as I can play music by just pushing the play button while focused on the folder, but I cannot open the folder and see the files itself. Then it hangs. With 1.2.3, it worked just fine. With 1.3.0 alfa & beta not.

Maybe it has something to do with an issue I have since I use MP. That is if I play some kind of media and try to play something else instead (without stopping the playing media first), there is a huge change of hanging. It can only be stopped by ctr+alt+del
Maybe it is totaly something else, but then you have the complete picture.

I have open many Thread and i was thinking i'm on a REWORK Branch, but i'm not.

So i need to try if i get this issue on actual 1.3.0Beta

Can you make a video ? (Camstudio for ex)
I have try to reproduce it and i can't.
Layout : LIST
SORT by : ARTIST
VIEW BY : SHARES

I can hit Play ("P" button of keyboard) and Music start then try to enter in folder to list item -> No HANG.

A video could be nice and or also setting (Shares / Albums/ Genre setting etc.)

I just test with your mediaportal.xml and it didn't hang (that mean i use your setting)
So maybe it can be a plugin or skin.
Can you try with Default Wide / Titan and on English language too ?
