Hi all,

Im having trouble using the scheduling feature of MP which I cant figure out and am hoping someone can help me.

I have both tuners installed and working for the TV and Video's I have and I can record TV by pressing the record button but I just cannot get the scheduling working.

This is my hardware....
Shuttle XPC SS58G2 Socket 775 SiS661FX
CPU : P4 3Ghz FSB800
Mem : 1 x 521mb PC3200 DDR400
HD : Seagate IDE 250Gb 7200
Video Card : ATI Radeon 9550 256Mb
TV card : Hauppauge PVR500MCE
Windows XP Pro SP2

MediaPortal version : 0.2.0.0

and this is a snippet from my log file....
----
time to record 'Soccer: Fa Premiership' on channel:sky sport 2 from 16:00:00-17:55:00 id:9 priority:2147483645
find free capture card
card:1 viewing:True recording:False timeshifting:False channel:confused:ky1
card:2 viewing:False recording:False timeshifting:False channel:
No card found, check if a card is recording a show which has a lower priority then priority:2147483645
no recordings have a lower priority then priority:2147483645
----

this 'segment' then repeats for the length of the show.

Both tuners are set to view and record from within the MP setup but obviously somewhere along the line MP doesnt believe they are set to record.

Does anyone have any ideas ?

Many thanks
Martyn

I'd try deleting the card(s) and re-installing them. Make sure all the channels are assigned correctly and also try giving one card a higher priority than the other.

I don't know if any of this will help, I'm kind of clutching at straws...

Well I set different priorities but no change and so deleted the second tuner and its done the trick. I can now schedule a recording :D

Thanks Marcusb, you have to remind yourself that sometimes the solutions are the easy ones !

Glad to hear things worked out, but do you have two tuners working correctly now?
Two DTV cards works for me, but I understand that some combinations don't work for some people.
