Can't rerun TV after quitting - locks & leaks memory (1 Viewer)

When I quit MP after watching My TV, and rerun later, it locks up when selecting My TV. I have a MSI MEGASKY 580 USB tuner. I think it's putting it into "D0" power state (ie. off) There is also a "D3" power state, which it would appear can be mapped (so Windows says) to the S1-S5 states. When trying to rerun My TV MP locks up and causes _huge_ memory leak (ie. some 500MB in a few seconds). This can all only be cured by Task Manager (takes ages to dump MP) and remobving/replacing USB tuner.
Any ideas?

SecurityException error when using support tool

I get an error when using the support tool. How do I go about granting .NET security rights, as the error suggests. (I can't attach the error box image coz I can't work out how to attach image!!

Synopsis::

Exiting MP then rerunning later fails to start My TV, appearing to freeze, requiring task manager dump and leaking mermory. Often only a restart will re-enable TV device.

Having seen a different posting by "petteram", I uninstalled ffdshow (not that I used it), and things seems to have stabilised, ie. My TV now appears to start OK (usually!). I have also found that the "lockup" on exit appears to be caused, strangely enough, by using the codecs supplied with the device (ie. Newsoft). If I use ZJSoft MPEG2Dec video & MPEG/AC3..... audio codecs (new to RC4?), it appears to quit OK.

However, I now get audio & video drift out of sync... anyone any ideas?


I also appear to have finally cracked the EPG times being out of sync. Despite using GMT/BST in XMLTV GUI, I have had to specifically specify +00:00 timezone, with 0:0 time compensation in MP. Now the program guide appears accurate.
