Can't seem to figure out how to create my music database (1 Viewer)

For the life of me I can't seem to be able to create my music database through MP, and it's not out of lack of effort either. I scanned all the shares I have my mp3's in, but then what?? I don't see anything get populated and I can't find any kind of "Create database" button. Then I look for any .db3 files that got created and don't get any results in the search. So.. am I missing something here? BTW, awesome software! Picked it up just to catalog my TV Shows using the MP-TVSeries plug-in but now want to do so much more with it. TIA

i assume.

in config: music > music database. clicked 'update from selected shares' does it show progress of cataloging music?

in MP: My music > switch view > artists

mabye something more, post logs?
