I can't shut down computer when MediaPortal is running. No matter if i use the top buttoms on MP's home or the ones in Windows. When I then closes MP the computer shuts down (sometimes it doesnt even work).

What do I do??

I can find numorous posts about people having this problem, but i dont see any real solution.

I find this very annoying as this happens every day. Well if i doesnt shutdown MP first. I makes me dont want to start MP when windows starts, but then MP is no better that a Media Player as I have to start it on the computer.

Firstly, as this is my first post, I'd like to thank the developers for their hard work. MediaPortal looks great and may well supplant the unreliable Nebula Electronics s/w for my TV recording needs.

I also have the shutdown problem. Whether I try to shut down the PC or log off, MediaPortal stops me unless I shut it down manually.

I'm running the 0.2.2.0 release on XP-Pro with a Nebula Electronics PCI TV card and BDA drivers (their latest version). I wonder if these are to blame?

I've attached the log files - hope they're some use.

Edit: Now attached; sorry...

Note that I'm using MediaPortal on a general use PC at present and without a remote control. Consequently (I guess) my usage model may not be quite what the developers intended. In particular for this query I'm using the Windows Start button to shutdown / Logoff.

If minimize to sys tray onexit is selected in the config program (general tab) than windows will not shut down. You have to exit on the MP icon in the sys tray before shutdown.
