    this issue is totally weird.

If timeshift would show any error i would have a few ideas what is going wrong.
    But timeshift works......

    A few other questions:
    - Can you view a recorded file without issues (stuttering, artefacts, ect)?
    - when has this issue started? was it always present?
    - have you ever applied a nightly svn build befor?
    - have you tried it with MPV and MPA as codecs for MyTV?
    - firewall installed?
    - antivirus software installed?

ok just tried a sheduled recording using MPV/MPA

i was watching BBC1... then the scheduled recording kicked in and it changed the channel and displayed the EPG. is this what is supposed to happen ?

at least it didn't black screen this time.

yes it showed the "recording channel" in the little preview window on the EPG
if i exited the EPG it then showed it full screen as normal.

just tested it again using the Nvideo PureVideo codec again.

it failed again.. so it defintely seems to be an issue with that codec or related to it anyway.

yes, not the first time that a specific codec version is causing issues.

do you use the latest version of the PureVideo Codec?
