Hello,

just installed MediaPortal - looks great!

Unfortunately, the feature that's most important to me - TV - doesn't work. Entering setup ('Television - Capture Card') to find out why surprises with an empty listbox and an "No video capture card(s) were found" error message when clicking "Add".
But in the XML file, the card seems to be listed if I interpret it right.

Please help - what can I do?

thanks

    Hi,
    got the same card and it's working.
    But with new Release 0.2 video and sound are out of sync.
    so in the end it's not really usable.
    Hope it gets better with the new tv engine that is in the pipeline, thx to frodo.

    cheers

    naah. nevr said that. I am still trying myself to get it working properly. All I wanted to let u know is that my Medion SAA7134 was always working (at least for TV). Just with the introduction of the new tv engine with R0.2 things got worse. Before that I never really had a problem with that card and tv.
    I hope you did all the usual stuff like get latest drivers for card etc.
    Since I nevr really had a prob I can only tell you to go the hard way and reinstall all stuff including windows with latest patches.

    I don't know if that helps you but keep on trying... it's worth it :)

    ... and based on the output of GraphEdit, I added the following to CaptureCardDefinitions.xml:

    Code:
      {capturecard commercialname="Medion SAA7134 DVB-T test" capturename="MEDION BDA Digital Capture" devid="ven_1131&dev_7134&subsys_000316be&rev_01"}
        {capabilities tv="true" radio="true" mpeg2="true" mce="false" sw="false" bda="true"/}
        {tv}
    	{filters}
            {filter cat="networkprovider"	name="Microsoft DVBT Network Provider"  checkdevice="false"/}
            {filter cat="tunerdevice"	name="713x BDA DVBT Tuner"		checkdevice="false"/}
            {filter cat="capture"		name="713x BDA Digital Capture"		checkdevice="false"/}
          {/filters}
          {connections}
    	{connection sourcefilter="networkprovider" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="tunerdevice"	sinkpin="0"/}
    	{connection sourcefilter="tunerdevice"     sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="capture"		sinkpin="0"/}
          {/connections}
        {/tv}
      {/capturecard}

    (I replaced the brake characters in order to enable the forum software to display them ;-))

    No idea if this makes any sense. Obviously not - I still get the same error message. :?

    What can I do now?

    Long

    Serious...why cant things just work...u no...like honda say!!

    Let me run few a few things so u can tell me what you think:

    Bought the pc..everything was fine..was watching TV happily on it..no probs...

    A few months after i bought the pc..i got a virus...so i formatted it.

    Everything seemed 2 work fine after reinstalling everything needed..exept..Suprise Suprise..PowerCinema.

    Finally managed to get that working...Exept the TV aspect...

    Reinstalled the TV-Card Driver..Still didint work. The message being displayed to me when i go into the TV part of PowerCinema was: TV Device Not Found!!!

    I got bored and left it......Roughly 2/3 years rolled by...

    After returning from my 1st yr of uni..I decide to try once again and fix it..Downloaded all the TV Drivers from the Medion website..Still Displaying the same message in PowerCinema: TV Device Not Found!!!

    Called the medion HotLine...The guy talked me through checking it in the Device Manager..and there was a couple of Yellow Exclamation marks by a couple of drivers...sorted them out....BANG...Tv Card was apparantly sorted....Nah!

    And here i am 2day. Does that help any1 understand my problem??????

    Cheers All!
