    OK, sorry for that.;)

The reason for dropped frames is that the movie is supposed to be 24fps but is played at 23.8 - yet Mediaportal seems to be doing its job and requests a refrshrate change from 50 to 24 Hz:
    [2015-09-07 14:28:36,623] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - RefreshRateChanger.SetRefreshRateBasedOnFPS: current refreshrate is 50hz - changing it to 24hz

    So either
    • The screen is at fault, not being able to play 24p - try a different software to test this
    • The video driver is generating a wrong signal, despite being requested to run 24p - check video driver details
    • The hardware is having a heat issue and is throttling the CPU - a software such as CPU-Z run in parallel, should show you such an effect

Have played around a little bit with energy options and set the cpu to 95% min. and 100% max. and now it seems to be a little bit better, but not pertfect. ->

Screen is switching fine (screenshot). I think probably, it is an driver, windows 10 or dsshowheper.dll issue or a combinaton of these.
For comparsion please take a look at the screenshot of playback 1080i (ServusTV HD). It is working fine ->

For comparsion please take a look at the screenshot of playback 1080i (ServusTV HD).
If 1080i is playing better than 1080p, you can probably rule out the hardware and cooling issues. Note that 1080i is playing at 23.999 fps = almost exactly what it should be. Because of this you are not observing a choppy picture.

So it looks as if either the GPU or the video driver is not correctly handling 24p. Having said that, if increasing the min limit for the CPU to 95% helps, it indicates a throttling problem- which translates into overheating issues.

Try the following: switch off your device completely for a few minutes to let it cool down. Then restart the device and immediately begin to play the 24p video source. Check the frame rate at start with Shift-F10: If it is still playing with 23.8fps, then the driver is having issues. If it is 24p as it should, continue watching the movie until the frame rate drops.

    Hi @HTPCSourcer,
thanks for your assistance, but after doing some of tests yesterday, i come to the the conconclusion, that it is a driver issue. I hope, INTEL will soon provide a new driver.

It's odd, that only with framerate of 23.976 the render time is high (12 ms - 13 ms). With all other frame rates and resolutions render time is ~ 4,5 ms - 6 ms!
    @Owlsroost : Do you have a hint?

Yes, I'd also noticed that in the screenshots.

I have no idea why, although in the past I've noticed that if strange things happened with the rendering it sometimes only affected 24 Hz....I think the problem is within the Windows DWM (Aero), which does the desktop 'compositing' downstream from MP.

You could try the two registry tweaks here - https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...al-tearing-problem.131946/page-3#post-1151227 - and also try using Enable24HzDWM = 0
