After my update to 1.18 and switch from Web EPG to Schedules Direct, My wife is telling me her soaps never record. Other programs are recording fine.

I see TV Service logs like this:
    [2017-11-20 13:00:04,581] [Log ] [scheduler thread] [INFO ] - Scheduler: Schedule 11/20/2017 1:00:00 PM-Days of our Lives (50.00.-) has already been recorded (11/10/2017 1:00:06 PM) - aborting...

Not sure this is meaningful, but I also see repeated errors like this:
    [2017-11-20 13:12:35,849] [Log ] [24 ] [ERROR] - DiskManagement: Exception at parsing freediskspace () to drive P:
    [2017-11-20 13:12:35,884] [Log ] [24 ] [ERROR] - System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format.
yet recordings seem to be using this drive without incident.

The channel lineup I now have has many entries that "are not mapped to a card" but I have others that worked. The TV Channels are a mess, but I seem to have that working OK after hours of work. Many shows are recording fine, just not my wife's soaps. If I don't come up with a good story, she'll wonder if I am censoring them!

    Hi Jamie

Short answer is: they're not recording because (a) TV Server detects the episode to be a duplicate and (b) you've configured TV Server not to record duplicate episodes.

    From the quoted log entry:
    [2017-11-20 13:00:04,581] [Log ] [scheduler thread] [INFO ] - Scheduler: Schedule 11/20/2017 1:00:00 PM-Days of our Lives (50.00.-) has already been recorded (11/10/2017 1:00:06 PM) - aborting...

Note the part I marked in bold. It's [season number].[episode number].[episode part number]. The episode number looks bogus. I guess SchedulesDirect only has season number details for Days of our Lives... but TV Server doesn't know that. From TV Server's perspective all the the Days of our Lives episodes look like they're the same episode.

The "check episode..." setting is the relevant one:

Thank you, that is clearly the problem.

Do I need to worry about this message that is dominating the log files?

Yes, if you expect TV Server to keep up the disk quota (TV Server Configuration -> recording section -> folders tab).

The reason for the exception is that (a) you have enabled the disk quota feature and (b) you have blanked the quota size setting ("delete recordings when..."). To fix either untick "enable disk quota" or put a valid number in the quota size setting. The default size setting value is 500 MB.

Thank you MM, a couple of questions:
    1. After unchecking the 'duplicate recording' feature, MP again did not record saying
"Scheduler: Schedule 11/22/2017 1:00:00 PM-Days of our Lives (50.00.-) has already been recorded (11/10/2017 1:00:06 PM) - aborting..."
Do I need to stop TV Service and restart for this setting change to take effect? I did not do that yesterday.
    2. As for your disk quota recommendation, it does not seem to apply. I took a screenshot that shows that drive P does have 'Enable disk quota" checked, and it has 500 MB filled in. Any further things to investigate? Thank you
