that didnt work, edited the file in "c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\team mediaportal\mediaportal\skin\streamedmp", deleted the cached skin and let MP recreate it all, still showing 5 on the home screen.

I edited the file in the C:\Program Files\etc I think from memory... Try that skin file
myhome.xml only appears in the c:\documents and settings\all users folder though? at least it does on my machine.
I have heard it is the case for some people... It was in the other place for me but... No idea why
