Hiya,

I've recently changed my router and my network configuration resulting in a change to my IP address of the host with Mediaportal.

I've changed the host name under 'Mediaportal configuration' but whenever I try loading TV server config. it comes up saying that the TV server is not running and should I start it now. If I say yes, it comes up that it can't be started because it can't find the old IP addresss. It won't let me change it when I eventually get into TV server config.

Is there a way of changing the host name at all related to TV server config - perhaps in Microsoft Server SQL? If so, how would I do this?

Change the login to SQL server authentication, user name "sa", password "MediaPortal", then connect

Expand databases, select MpTvDb, then chose tables\dbo.server, right click and open table from here you can select ip\localhost or whatever your server is called, save all and close, your new setting will now be used.

Now configure MP to connect to the changes under television\client.
