channel change while watching TV not working (1 Viewer)

Those channels are correct. The channels I've been attempting to enter numerically belong to that group. In any event, i think I found the problem.

While troubleshooting, i disabled the blaster plugin to see if it was somehow causing the problem. Nope, problem persisted.

Next i tried a different SKIN (changed to the Default skin) and lo and behold, the channel numbers reliably appeared on the screen! I then re-enabled my plugin and the channels changed as expected.

The skin I was using that caused the problem was TITANIUS. For some reason, whenever i used this skin, numerically entering the channels does not work reliably. This may be why you continue to get questions about this yet it is not widespread: It takes a combination of certain skins AND certain configurations.

It's late here and i need sleep, but I'll test other skins tomorrow and report back.

OK. A few hours of sleep. :)

The following skins seem to work with my configuration:
- Default
- Default Wide
- StreamedMP

The following skins do not work with my configuration:
- Titan
- Titanius (Titanus was derived from Titan, so this makes sense).

These are the only ones I've tried. Presumably the skins shouldn't have anything to do with the numeric channel entry operation, yet the ability to successfully enter channels numbers directly seems to be skin dependent.

Any suggestions?

OK. Final report.

After testing other skins and getting mixed results I finally uninstalled MeidaPortal on the server and all clients and re-booted. I then re-installed MediaPortal on the server, set it up as laid out in this thread and tested it with the standard Titan skin and voila! The manual numeric channel entry worked. loaded the Titanius skin and tested and it too worked.

I then did the same on a client machine and it too seems to work. At this point i can't pinpoint the problem but everything is currently working.

I'll report back if there are any problems in this area.
