Channel not transmitting = mp hang (1 Viewer)

Hello all,

When a channel is not transmitting (wrong time of day) or a channel has weak signal mediaportal hangs and becomes unresponsive often requiring a ctrl+alt+delete to exit mediaportal and come back in. Sometimes after 5 minutes the channel will stop or enter guide depending on what buttons youve been pressing since it froze.

Is there any option to prevent the hang? Can be very irritating if youre channel hopping and hit one which doesnt start broadcasting for another few hours.

Yes, MediaPortal doesn't respond while you've asked it to tune a channel.
No there is no option to completely prevent the hang with MP1/TVE 3 right now... though there is with MP2 native TV.
You can reduce the hang from 20 to 4-6 seconds by reducing the PMT timeout here to 2 or 3 seconds:

2 is living on the edge. 3 is safer.
