I've seen a few posts on this but I have yet to find any solution to the issue. I basically did a brand new install of MP 2.3.0 RC3 (2.2.0 doesn't recognize my tv tuner) then added the card in and attempted to do a channel scan. It finds channel one but as soon as it attempts to switch channels, it freezes.

I've done some testing by manually adding a channel and as long as you don't actively switch between channels it displays them fine. E.G. I can add multiple channels and then display one of them, then close out the window and reopen it choosing a different channel and it will display fine. But if I choose a channel and have it display and then choose another one before closing the window, the configuration program will lock up.

hopefully that makes some sense, I'm not terribly familiar with this stuff yet so be kind to the newbie:sorry:

K updated drivers and still had same result.

only log I found that had anything recorded for today was the configuration.log. Let me know if you need any others.

Just as an update I did some more testing over the weekend.

I tried it out with SageTV and the builtin Windows Media Center (2005) and I was able to change channels no problem. I will be getting a new video card later on this week (switching to an Nvidia) and I also will be trying out vista instead of XP. If I notice any changes to the issue I'll let you know.

K after all that nothing appears to have fixed it.

Another strange thing to add to this:

If I add the card into MP and then add a single channel and view it, only static shows up.

If I open up SageTV and do the wizard I can switch channels and they view fine.

I go back to MP and open the channel again for viewing and now it views fine but I still can't change channels or it freezes.

Seems like it's just a driver thing with MP so I'll have to wait till it gets fixed and I kind of have a work around since all I need is channel 4 (on directv) and I can change channels with my DirecTV remote.
