I actually agree with you Vasilich - I think I recall this behaviour being different. Certainly that alternate behaviour seems preferable to me over current behaviour...

Can we get this new behavior written down into a detailed description?
Then we could add it to future release in mantis and see if a developer is willing to code the change.
