I have been able to successfully (I think) configure TVServer. I scan for channels using my TV tuner, it finds channels and builds a list of channels, and I can Preview the channels. I have MP running on the same box as TVServer. I have set the host name of TV server in MP config to be name of the PC running both TVServer and MP.

My problem is when I launch MP and go to TV, all I see is a blank screen. When I look in the Guide I see messages about "missing labels" for channels. The error log says something about Object reference not set to an object for TVPlugin.ChannelNavigator.Reload. It sounds like I'm missing a step telling MP where my channels are. I've very new so I'm lost at the moment. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

IF you're getting channels on the TV-Server then it seems there's a disconnect in setting up the settings so that the client can run. I'm guessing here but have you MAPPED the channels to the tuner card? Do you have channels checkboxed in TV-Channels so they appear in the guide when you open MediaPortal? It seems you're receiving analog channels only? Are you scanning a cable input? What hauppauge card is it you're using - it reports as the 885 but that's more of a driver than the card.

I'm doing ATSC OTA with my HVR-1600 and am using mc2xml to establish my TV-Guide listing... I'm not sure HOW MediaPortal runs the TV without a guide 'cause I've never tried.
