Ok, i'm (still) thinking 5770. But i saw a dB test of it and it scored about 59dB, but that was with the measurement tool at about 5 cm from the fan. Is that bad? I can live with hearing the fan, usually the audio will drown the noise, but it's annoying if it's too high while surfing the net or similar...

I also enjoy supporting AMD/ATI since Intel and Nvidia has the majority of the market :)

    I will check it out, but the only reference i have is XFX 8800 GT, that's a beast, my brother has two. Usually i use passive solutions. When i think about it, i don't think i ever had a gpu with a dedicated fan, hehe.

    Think i found a good one, any final thoughts on this one HIS Radeon HD 5750 iCooler IV 1 GB?

    EDIT:
    Pros:

    * Extremely quiet
    * Very low power consumption
    * Massive overclocking potential
    * Reasonably priced
    * Support for DirectX 11, DirectX 10.1
    * Low temperatures
    * GDDR5 memory
    * Dirt 2 voucher included
    * Support for AMD EyeFinity Technology
    * Native HDMI & DisplayPort
    * Improvements to integrated HDMI audio device

    Cons:

    * Not the best price/performance ratio
    * DirectX 11 won't be relevant for quite a while
    * Not as visually appealing as HD 5770 reference design
    * No DiRT 2 Coupon
    * No support for CUDA / PhysX

    Sounds ok, right?

    I don't think you'd want 8800GT, go with a 9XXX model or the other new series with 3 digits.
    The 8XXX series is older so probably not as good DXVA support compared to 9XXX.
    However with your fast CPU, having perfect DXVA on the GPU is probably not an issue, as anything DXVA fails on you can CPU decode with ease.

    No i didn't say that i wanted a 8800, i just mentioned that it's the only gpu with fan that i know. It is WAY TOO noisy for a htpc, hehe. But i think the HIS Radeon HD 5750 iCooler IV 1 GB is a good choice :)
