I have cofigured a new TV Server 1.2.1.0 with a new Cine S2 V6 TV card including a CI module. The Card works well but I can not configure the CI in the CI Menu(the selected card doesn't support CI menu or Cam is not ready yet.)

I have two CI modules a Canal Digitaal Cam and a Astron CAM. What goes wrong?

    Hi Romijn

Digital Devices tuners do support the CI menu. Please could you post your logs so that I can see what is happening:

    1. First, open TV Server configuration and try to view the CI menu.
    2. Click "open log directory" in the top left hand corner of TV Server configuration.
    3. Zip up all the files that you find there and post them here.

    Romijn,
I have almost similar setup using Astoncrypt 2.18 and Cine S2 v6. This problem happens when you set the CAM to both tuners using the Cineconfig tool. Then sometimes the CAM menu shows up for 1 tuner but then it will not work for the other.
If you set it to ONLY tuner 1, then SetupTV will show the CAM menu for tuner 1. If you set the CAM only to tuner 2 then SetupTV will show up the CAM menu for tuner 2. If you set it for both tuner (MTD mode) then we have a problem even if you assign only 1 CAM (Astoncrypt is normally dual capable) to each tuner.

mm1352000 this is exactly the same symptom I am suffering at the moment. I have sent the Astoncrypt to Aston for firmware upgrade (up to 2.26) and check if dual tuner work. We will see then if it is DD issue, Aston issue. It is not MP issue because it does behave the same with WMC.

    Hi DjeC64

Please keep me informed as I am very interested in this topic. You may also have seen the thread that I started -->here<-- about supporting multiple CAMs linked to each tuner in MTD mode. It would be a shame if that is not possible with Astoncrypt CAMs.

+1 to get this issue solved. I've waiting for years to have this CAM sharing capability and AFAIK to decrypt the Digital+ channels (Seca/Mediaguard) the only one option is an Astoncrypt CAM (I've heard that there are other CAMs like the matrix reborn that has this capability but no news about usign it with a DVB-S tunner, only with decos).

    Cheers from Spain

I was running MP under XP I have done en clean window 7 install and it works now with the astron Cam inclunding the canalditaal card. One but it only one tuner at the moment. I have check every thing what i can think of.

Both tuners are tick of in DD configureing tool. In MP the servers are runnig ok. But only tuner 1 is working.

Do I have to do someting with Mapping?

yes it was something with mapping. This works now! so the two tuners are working

Now the next problem. Decoding two different channels with one cam suggestions?

    Ronin,

Decoding 2 channels is not possible at the moment until DD fixes their drivers. The only way to set up your card at the moment is to add the cam to only one single tuner. So you will be able to decrypt 1 channel while viewing FTA with the 2nd tuner.

Please send this request to DD support . If we are numerous they will do something about it.

This is my experience at least.

Could you be more specific about how you setup tv server for that results? Also could you post the spec of your CAM (screenshot of the info from the CAM menu) especially I am interested by the Hardware version, CA...

    THanks.
