Hi all,

I am about to buy a new mainboard, Intel Desktop Board DH67BL, and saw that it had both a CIR emitter and receiver header onboard and the manual states that it is possible to wake the computer from S1 and S3. With this in mind I am very tempted at trying out this setup.

But the resources I have found around the web is from some time back, and I was wondering if CIR input is supported in windows 7, if it is possible to use it with a MCE remote and if the blaster functionality is actually working out of the box with mediaportal?

Has anybody here at mediaportal forums a running setup with a CIR header, windows 7 and mediaportal. Have you made the module yourself or can they still be bought somewhere.

Best regards
Martin

I've just recently bought an Intel DH67CF board with a CIR header, picked up the CIR receiver from eBay as that was the only place I could find it, once installed it appears as a normal MCE receiver and works just fine with an MCE remote.
