It's not a recording problem, and the stream works fine on the host PC in VLC. So its either a network problem (possible because i'm on a funny network here. I think I may have found a possible problem looking at those logs. WMP9 is installed! WMP10 is a requirement of mediaportal it seems, so i'll upgrade and report back. P.P.S Doesn't seem to help...
