I'm new to MP, fantastic piece of software, bit of a learning curve though. If any logs would help let me know. I have tvserver and client running on th pc below in my lounge. on my client in the bedroom I have a problem where the last 20-30% of the picture is missing and replaced by a black bar. The lounge client and recordings have no similar problems. I've tried zooming this does aoom properly but doesn't remove the bar. I've tried calibrating the screen, this doesn't help either. I've tried MPV, Descaler and Nvidia purevideo decoders. none of these changed the situation. I've read on the forums about ffdshow causing this, when I looked through add/remove programs ffdshow wasn't listed. I installed ffdshow 20020617. This didn't help either.I did notice that Mpeg2 was greyed out in the list of types ffdshow could decode, is thatbecause i've not installed Mpeg2dec? this looks like a similar problem: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/codecs-external-players-55/annoying-tv-problem-black-bar-right-side-25848/ but seems like using a sledge hammer to crack a nut, although I might end up doing that. where next, video drivers? any suggestions.
