Closed Caption for TV in Australia (1 Viewer)

Hi guys

I'm having troubles with Closed Captions for TV in Australia.

I've read as many of the forums as I can find and had a rather long chat session the other night trying to get it to work.

1. I have set up core cc parser, and I have set it to be a post filter
2. When the TV is running I press Shift+1 and cc parser is mentioned in the red text
3. When I press F9 there is an option for subtitles, but when I select it, nothing appears

Does anyone have any suggestions?
I really love media portal, but my fiance is deaf, so without subtitles, it is of no use to us.

My guess would be that the subtitles are carried via teletext in Australia, but I could be wrong.

Have you enabled DVB or teletext subtitles for TV in MP configuration:

Also, could you please do the following:
1. Open TV Server configuration.
2. Click "open log directory" in the top left corner.
3. Zip up all the files you find there and attach the zip file here.

This will allow me to double check that the TV Server is seeing the subtitles in the broadcast.

Thanks for the log files.
I can see from those that 7, 9 and TEN all have a teletext stream, so if there are subtitles available then that is where I think they would be found.
There are no DVB subtitles available by the looks of it...

Yep it seems to have teletext stream, but when i look on google, it's look like those channel can have Closed Caption.
It could be nice if we can have a recorded sample

I did a bit of research an yes in Australia subtitles use the bottom of teletext Page 801. How will I enable that? At work ATM. I'll record a sample when I get home.

Ok. I've got Subtitles using page 801 in Teletext, woohoo. Problem now is that I only shows every tenth line or so!!!! I'm starting to feel like subtitles are the work of the Devil. Any suggestions?

Sorry, I'm not sure. We do have a similar setup for teletext subtitles in NZ, but for whatever reason the build that I'm running at the moment is not able to show them.
