Clunky TV Engine. Will it ever be fixed !!! (1 Viewer)

I am just talking about the way it handles TV and the sizing of the TV box, for some reason If I try to size the box the TV just dies and its just a static picture and even changing the channels has no effect and only closing the program fixes it, it has always been like this. It just seems it just can't handle being used in that way for some reason and just craps itself


I would love Mediaportal if it handled TV like MCE, where you could size the Tv screen to what ever size you wanted to, would like this as I want a TV screen a certian size when I am doing some work On my PC and Not a huge sized screen that MediaPortal can only do.

This i the only real reason Why I don't use media Portal as every thing else is SO DAMN Exellent. But to view TV I would rather use My MCE or FusionHDTV program. I would much prefere just to use mediaportal to do all things though.


So can anyone let me know if this TV problem will be fixed and mad better or not. I have been waiting size a year or so and its the same as it was then

New system being built as we speak, however it's still in Beta.

I concur, the TV section does let MP down a bit.

This is the last thread regarding this issue, unless Net\DirectX\VMR9 dropped cannot see any change happening, everyone else uses Overlay which can be resized mid stream, that is the only advantage original manufacturers software has over MP.

Would be nice to be able to select in setup\General a choice of "allow MP splashscreen show option to select Window\Fullscreen mode" otherwise default setting applies.
