How to use the codex from VLCplayer or PowerDVD 11 for playing TV recording (720p from DR-HD)
Codex from Win7 uses too much cpu power (100%) but I can see these recordings with VLC or PowerDVD
My video card is a ATI HD3200 onborad.

Sorry for my bad english.

    Hi redmm

I think what SiLenTYL was trying to say is that your integrated HD3200 video capabilities aren't very powerful. Your CPU also isn't particularly powerful. I'm guessing that you would have to use hardware accelerated h.264 decoding (DxVA) in order for the playback to work. Codec selection would be *very* important...

You can't use the codecs from VLC - they are built into the software. I think they use the ffmpeg library, or maybe libavc, so you could try using FFDShow. If you have PowerDVD then you could try using the Cyberlink codecs too (they may not work since Cyberlink have placed restrictions on using them in 3rd party software).

It would help if you use debug mode to grab logs so that we can check the codecs that you have installed and your current MP codec settings...
