    Hi guys,
I upgraded the MP from 1.1 RC3 to 1.1 RC5 with no problem. A few days later I started fiddling with the sound, and then my problem begins.
I'm having a codec problem. Now I can't get any sound from the MP, doesn't matter if it's a film og mp3 file.
It did work fine, until I did something. Not sure what. Fiddly fingers probably. I installed the drivers for the soundcard, got the newest version of Shark007 codecs, configured as I think it should be. Configured the MP codec in the MP configuration, as I think is right. Tried various combination of codecs for the video playback. Just picture, no sound. And no sound from the mp3 files. I can play the files in the VLC and the Windows Media Player, both audio and video. So I get the sound from the speakers, just not from the MP.
I attach the log if anyone could look into it and see what is going on (or not going on).
I'm using MovingPictures plugin to play the movies. But I don't believe it is a problem regading the MovingPictures. And I got the newest version of MovingPictures.
    Kindest regards,

    Kjartan

You have probably muted MP by accident, this applies to Vista\Win7.

Start MP, then alt-enter to go to windowed mode, start playback of anything inside MP that has audio.

Now go to speaker icon in systray, right click and select mixer, you will now see mediaportal listed, is it muted or sound turned right down, that applies to master as well.

If none of the above is your problem, let us know.

Believe me, you're not alone in this paranoia :D, but usually I'm not blaming MP but AV receiver so I just hit it 2 or 3 times, and if no sound after this delicate procedure I just check that little prick in the tray :p
