Hi guys,

I'm trying to use ffdshow to play dvd files from my hdd but for some reason mp won't use it.
I have selected ffdshow as my codec for all formats in settings and using merrits.
When creating a graph in graphedit ffdshow is used, then I start mp and play the same fill and ffdshow is not used.
I have no clue what mp is using or why but it's very frustrating that it seems to ignore my codec selection.

Any clues?

ffdshow is not recommended to be used as MPEG2 codec. Make sure that ffdshow is configured so that MPEG2 is enabled.

I use ffdshow as an external filter - just enable raw video support in ffdshow video decoder configuration ->codecs.

tourettes, I know that you don't recommend it for MPEG2 for a long time now, but why?

mpeg2 is enables and working in ffdshow, I checked the whole thing using graphedit and it renders fine (the exact same dvd).
