Thanks for the response tourettes. I have done a bit of testing today, and narrowed down the problem a bit more. Didn't manage to save the log file, sorry, but will remember to get it next time it occurs! I rarely use MPAR for films, as the audio for them are all bitstreamed to my amp, apart from where there is an AAC 6ch soundtrack, but I don't have any of those at the moment. I do use MPAR for live and recorded TV which is Freeview in the UK. The HD Freeview channels contain an HE-AAC soundtrack, sometimes in stereo and sometimes in 6 channels. I need to use WASAPI to get this audio sent to my amp in the correct format, as without WASAPI the Windows audio mixer, messes it up. The lipsync error seems to creep in if live or recorded TV is paused for approx 5 minutes or more. Stopping and resuming playback fixes it. lisa
