color bands in stead of gradual fading (1 Viewer)

    Something that is anoying me more and more is that Mediaportal seems to show a lot of banding in the image where colors should be fading. Like an image of blue sky or dark colors going gradually over into lighter shades.

    As an example I have added a screenshot of Blue3Wide skin that also show a lot of this banding..its like a bad processed JPG image. Take a sharp look at the top middle where this banding shows most, its like the edges are even enhanced to show the bands even more!

    This banding shows everywhere, SD HD and still pictures, so it can also be a setting in my videocard..

    Anybody knows where I should have a look in my system to get rid of this?
