color correction on 3010iX (1 Viewer)

Hi all, the pinnacle 3010iX worked out of the box with MP, but the colours are wrong.. anyone got any ideas? Works fine on Media Center, just MP.

What have you selected for these?

Have you tried different video decoders - and do they all give the same odd colours?

Have you updated the video card drivers to the latest available?

yep tried all different options ...

Which is it that controls the TV playback? mpeg2? tried all of those and still the same...

video card drivers arecurrently forceware 163 i think (nov release) , but the latest 169 still do the same.. must be someting to do with MP as with media center all is fine...

I have the same card as you but I tryed to install mediaportal but no tvcard is recognized.. please could you help me??Wich drivers do you use? there's a trick to use it with mediaportal?

i got it working in the end fine, it was my codecs that were causing the wrong colours.

To get the card going in MP, it takes a bit of doing . I cant remember it exactly but it involves changing the graph and setup files to match the card. Its not difficult but i honestly cant remember what i did, but i'm sure i posted up the conmfig details somewhere on this forum. I havent used MP for some time, and went back to media center, which to be honest is still winning the media software war for me.

The one other problem is that you cant have MP and media center installed at the same time, as media center will only report one tuner, which is fine until you want to record something.

As an alternative to MP and media center, try meedios , it looks great but again i cant quite get the card going correctly. I think the 3010ix is a bit of an 'unfriendly' card for most apps.
