Symptom is as follows (not consistently reproducable): - View live tv (in preview window). - change channels - Go to epg - go back - system freezes completely requiring a hard reboot of the PC. I have also got this when: - Navigate folders to view video (divx) - View a video - Go back (video still playing in small preview window) - View a different video - Go back (video still playing in small preview window) - Navigate to live TV - system freezes completely requiring a hard reboot of the PC. Sometimes it happens quickly and sometimes you can spend several minutes until is reoccurs. I have tried numerous things I read in postings including: - Updating to latest SVN - Reinstalling everything - Installing FFDShow - Checking "use exclusive directX" on and off - Installing Windows Media Player 11 - Removing all codecs and reinstalling a codec pack. - Selecting different video renderers in the configuration (DScaler and Cyberlink). - Modifying hauppauge settings to VMR7 in Primary (although it doesn't seem related to hauppauge since I get this when vieweing video, too). - Reduce hardware acceleration in display properties A few additional words about the symptom: - Typically freezes and then gives a black screen. - Sometimes receive a few seconds of stuttering repeating noise from sound card - Sometimes see white vertical stripes before it goes black. - Very rarely even received BSOD with MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION I have so far tried out various other HTPC software and liked mediaportal more than any of them (however, they seem to run fine). I hope to be able to fix this, so I can go on using MP rather than switching to evil alternatives such as MCE. Attached is the debug-level log files. Any ideas will be deeply appreciated. [/QUOTE]
