Complete Noob to MediaPortal (1 Viewer)

Hi, Complete Noob to Mediaportal.
I have installed Version 2.1 client & server on a Windows 10 64bit machine. The service is running
When I log onto the client and look at server settings it says my client is connected to "www.bitsumactivationserver.com"
It does not want to see my server.
What port do I set my sever port to?

Any other help much appreciated.

Make sure there is nothing in your hosts file located at
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\
At the very most you want to see
127.0.0.1 localhost

Many thanks, you were right there was a load of garbage in the hosts file. Now the
client sees the server OK.
Can I use a MAC web browser to see the server?
