I was just wondering what setups people have for HD and SD? I've been quite happy just using FFDshow for everything as I'm not overly techi! However I read some posts and articles on post processing and configuring FDD which I really like as my older SD video looks much better and sharper but as FFDshow is my only MKV player all my HD films are choppy as hell, PC can't cope applying all the extras with these HD films. Does anybody use seperate programs for SD and HD or recommend something so I can disable MKV in FFDshow and use that purely for SD processing? many thanks

You could always use CoreAVC for mkvs and keep FFDshow for avis and upscaling DVDs. I went this route about three months ago and have been happy since.
