Config Crashes - How to delete & start over? (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Something happened when I deleted a rule (file recognition not logo) and it deleted all the regexp rules as well. Only option I had was to close down as per normal. Now I can't get back into Configuration. I get an unhandled exception.

So I've delete the TVSeries4.db3 (well the DB what ever it's called under DB's and the dll and xml reinstalled latest stable release & svn version but either way I can't get into the config. I get the same error. If I restore the DB I can use TVSeries plugin in MP.

Basically, what other files do I need to delete to start over as something is obviously not right. I searched for other TVSeries files but nothing stood out so help please?

This ocured on a Vista Ulimate machine originally using the latest SVN.

Any Help is greatly appreciated.

    Thats very odd, TVSeries4.db3 is the only file that holds any information. Deleting it puts you back to square one.

    Whats the exact exception you get?

    I actually found an error that's been there for ages when someone deletes a parsing expression - it kinda delete everything and doesn't add anything else.
    And sometimes it leaves one rule with a messed up index so that the plugin cannot be configured again because it does an exception when started.
    It's fixed now

    Hi,
    I've replaced the DLL with the new one from the MP-TVSeries SVN but I still get an error. I tried with the od TVSeries DB in place and deleting the DB but i still get the same error. Are there any parameters held else where that the new DLL would be referencing presumably the old index of the rules when it tries to open the config?

    OK I Just installed the latest MP SVN with the MP-TV-Series Svn and the config starts up fine now.

    Hi new to all this, I also have the same error message of "Index out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name:index"

    I have tried uninstalling and re-installing MediaPortal and MP-TV Series and to no avail, everytime I go into configuration this happens and I have no idea what to do next as have followed all instructions and yet it stills crashes

    Please help as do not have great deal of knowledge for computers and pulling hair out now!!!:D:confused:
