I attempted to install the PureAudio plugin. During the install mediaportal configuration crashed. Now I can start up the configuration but I get this error when I try to access plugins:

Failed to locate assembly Bass.Net, version 2.3.1.2 Culture=neutral. PublicKeyToken...
Note that the configuration program must be executed from/reside in the MediaPortal folder. the execution will now end.

After the error config closes. I am not concerned with using the PureAudio plugin anymore, I just want to be able to access my Plugins.

TV-Server Version:
MediaPortal Version: 1.0.2.0
MediaPortal Skin: monocrome
Windows Version: xp

I think I had a similar problem - deleted the pureaudio from the plugins directory and no problem after that.

I have since installed the latest version and all works well

Good luck

I ended up fixing the problem. Since I could not get into plugins without mediaportal conf crashing, I used the exe for mp installer I think it was. Uninstalled the plugin and now everything is better.

I have a similar issue; MediaPortal Configuration crashes when I try to change something, with the following error message:

"Failed to locate assembly 'TvLibrary.Interfaces, Version=1.0.3.28723, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null".

I had the same problem with a different error message before I updated to 1.1 Alpha. Installing 1.1 a it looks like I still have a problem of some sort. I tried deleting the pureaudio plugin from the plugin directory but it doesn't look like that's the issue. :(

    Hi zaubertuba,

I had exactly the same problem yesterday. And after some grave digging I found the solution (in my case) and it probably works for you (and others) too. I think something goes wrong with DLL extraction during the ALPHA setup, because I did not had this error in previous installs.

I found out it had something to do with the extraction of DLLs during the setup. MediaPortal was missing 3 important DLLs in its root directory. By extracting these DLLs from the setup executable (with 7-zip) manually and placing them in %PROGRAM FILES%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal, the problem was luckily solved and everything works like a charm at the moment.

In order to fix the problem even quicker, I extracted, zipped and uploaded the DLLs (in attachment). Extract the DLLs to the MediaPortal install directory. Hope that does the trick for you too.

Let me know if the problem is fixed and enjoy the alpha testing!
