I compared your logs with mine.
The very first line in my configuration.log is
    2009-02-22 06:59:34.374568 [Info.][Config Main]: Verifying DirectX 9

Your log does not have that. Not sure yet if it means something but it looks suspicious.

Do you comply with hardware requirements?
Please follow the guidelines as seen in my signature to update your System Specifications.

I run Windows XP 32-bit Edition with service pack 3
I got a AMD Athlon Dual core Processor 6000+ 3.00 GHz
    3 GB of ram
A ATI Radeon HD 3850 graphics card.

I meet the requirements, but it still wont work

OK, then it is a false alarm. I guess that log statement was added after v1.0.0.0 since I am using latest TEST version.
I will try and think of something else...

    Anyone else with ideas?

Can you please make a backup of your Configuration.exe and then try the attached one. Post your new logs. Nothing should be different except a few additional log statements.

Just a thought, are there multiple user accounts on the pc you are trying to setup MP on, I would suggest there is a permissions problem with allowing the necessary file to be created.
Try using the full admin account to install\setup MP and make sure you select run as administrator.

Oh! It works now! the only diffrence is that i changed antivirus from AVG to Avast.

I use Avast as well, got fed up with avg failing to update itself.

Surprised it stopped you configuring though, but it will not be the first time that AV companies have flagged parts of MP as a virus

Best thing to do is let AVG know.
