Configuration help required... (1 Viewer)

Hi
I am trying to configure Mp like so..
I wish to have several home menu items FITNESS DOCUMENTARIES MOVIES with each one linking to a different folder. I know it must be possible but i just cant see to work it out. I hope its not really simple so I look stupid.
Loving everything else.

This can be done with moving pictures and titan extended (or any skin that supports a home screen editor, eg. avalon/streamedmp etc)

Step 1.

Create custom category filters in moving pictures ("Custom menus")

Use a rule based filter eg. Movie folder starts with "D:\DOCOS\"
Once you get into the menu editor it should be fairly self evident how to set it up.

Step 2.

You can make a home screen menu that loads moving pictures within a custom category
Use titan extended skin, Run titanedit.exe in the mediaportal program folder.
It looks something like this:

Oh nice. I went to uni down there. That's a pretty rough set of instructions but I'm sure you'll figure it out with trial and error.

Ok I think I have the process. But still not quite there.
I have created a new node in Moving Pictures>Movie Manager tab. I tested the filter and it worked.
If i go to Moving Pictures>GUI tab >Define Media Catagorie? the new node doesnt appear.
If I go to TITAN Configuration>Basic Home Menu I can create a menu item based on the moving pictures module but when I try to select Catagory my newly created node does not appear. I guess this is all I need to get working for complete happiness but I am stuck on this!

having never done this i'll guess a solution
Check that you can create a menu item in one of the pre-existing categories and see if it works. If this is the case, then either.
1. Try restarting pc, does the category now appear?
2. Is it possible to manually enter the category name (I doubt it you can from recollection)
3. Choose the category actors, then manually edit the extended home xml in notepad and find actors and replace with your custom category.

The filters/nodes in the movie manager tab and those in the movie categories are independent. You have to set it up in the movie categories. Don't forget to check the option for the creation on highest level.
