Hi, I have been having a strange problem with mediaportal configuration. Sometimes when I open the configuration I will see the splash screen and then no window will appear. In task manager i can see that Configuration.exe has started. If I wait for a while sometimes 20min!! the configuration window will appear. I also have problems when closing configuration. The window will hang and be unresponsive, again after a long wait it will close.

This is a fresh install of Win7 and also a new install of Mediaportal 1.2.1. Never really had this issue before on previous setups so I can't pinpoint the problem. I have attached the Configuration.log. This is an instance where it opened fine but hung on close. Notice the point where "SaveSectionSettings() - Video Folders" begins and then finishes almost 20min later.

This isn't really my area of expertise, but since nobody else has commented...
I think this issue must be something to do with a specific share/folder that you have set up for videos since the same code is used for music and pictures. Can you try removing the shares one-by-one and see if that makes any difference. Also, could you please post your MediaPortal.xml file so that I can check the structure of the settings for that section is normal.

Thanks for replying. I have tried removing the video folders 1by1 with no change. By the way I'm using movingpictures. I even tried making new folders for video,music,pictures each with a sample media and set this up in Config but no change (ie. it still takes 20min to shutdown the config windows). To make sure Mediaportal could even access these folders I double checked that all permission and ownership of the folders were ok. I attached MediaPortal.xml per your request.
