    TV-Server Version:
    MediaPortal Version: latest version
    MediaPortal Skin: the default one
    Windows Version: Windows XP SP2
    CPU Type: C2D E4300
HDD: 1.5 TB [WD & Seagate]
    Memory: 1GB
    Motherboard: Gigabyte S2
    Motherboard Chipset: Intel 965G
    1. TV Card: Philips SAA7134 DVB-T
    1. TV Card Type: DVB-T

I've got some problems with the configuration of the movie-database.

    1. I can only browse my files by "Shared folders", how can i get the genre, actor, ... -browsing method to work? I accidentally deleted those with the configuration tool and now I want to add them again.

    2. I'd like to configure my TV-series like this: https://www.team-mediaportal.com/screenshots/page,view/catid,14/key,14/hit,1/ (+ the screen before that one)
But I can't seem to find how this can be done.

    3. Is it possible to turn off//on subtitles while watching a movie?

Can someone plz help me out? :)

    1. I believe you need to get media portal to scan your movie folder (check configuration) and have it lookup the films it finds on IMDB, then you should be able to click the 'view by' button in 'my videos' to browse by actor, genre, ect.

    2. install 'my tv series' config it to look at your tv series folder and it does a great job at picking out the files and parseing the filenames and grabbing info, worked for me.

Is there a way to configure the IMDB lookup to get the Hi-res Poster image instead of the crappy IMDB low res one by default?

I tried that with manually configuring it, didn't work... :( It seems like MP lowers the resolution, even when the linked picture is huge.

    :edit:
I can't find how to add seasons (of series) when they are not automaticly detected :s
eg South Park, I have all the seasons but only 2, 3, 5, 10 and 11 are detected.

I had a similar problem with some of my seasons...

The resolution was to rename some of the episodes filenames so they were in a format the software could recognise.

ie. each episode needs to have something like 102 or S01E02 where 1 is the season and 2 is the episode.

It worked for my missing episodes anyway...
