Okay.I record to NAS device and do comskip processing afterwards, my server runs at 100% CPU during those times, I saw bunch of articats and failed recordings durings those times/
For a start, recording direct to NAS is not recommended due to the increased file write latency introduced by the network. TV Server uses synchronous file access, so increased latency can cause problems. I would think that ComSkip processing would also be affected by this. In other words, my advice to you would be to record to an internal HDD, do the ComSkip processing, and only move the recording to the NAS after that.
Second: is it not possible to schedule ComSkip to run at a time that is more convenient, and/or to run it with low priority? A tool like MCEBuddy could help you with this.
