After installing two new Floppydtv-c/ci with cams I can not get the tv-server to work. If I de-select the two cards and disconnect the firewire cable, the tv-server seems to work. I did a complete uninstall of MP and database, re-installed the floppydtv drivers (v5.7), MP and database. Did not help. I don't know what to do now.

First of all I suggest you update your specifications.
For Floppydtv to work properly you need to use the legacy firewire-drivers as suggested by digitaleverywhere.

That was one of my concerns - what prerequisites apply when installing floppydtv for XP SP3? The legacy firewire drivers only apply to win 7, don't they? This is a quote from Digital Everywhere's support web page:

"- Windows 7 users should always use the 1394 OHCI controller "legacy" driver!!! Read the document included in the setup for details."

I have installed two new floppydtv. Arrived from Germany last week, so I guess the latest firmware must be installed from the factory. The newest driver v5.7 was used. I scanned all channels in the TV server config with one of the floppydtv cards and mapped all found channels to both cards. I can preview all channels, even the pay tv channels. Works fine. But as soon as I start the MP client, the "connection to tv server broken" is shown. I tried to record a channel from the MP client, the same channel I had previously previewed from the TV server config, but there was nothing recorded. There were four empty recorded items (one for each time I had pressed OK after the "TV-server broken connection" was shown).

Update: Added FireDTVSupport Tool Report as attachment. Hopefully someone can see if there is something wrong with the installaton.

Will do that tonight. What I thought was strange was the fact that I watched the channel from MP tv server config - Preview and it worked fine. But as soon as I started the MP client the tv server shut down. And one of the logs is FULL of discontinuity errors...

FireDTV Viewer:
Scan channels - OK all found
EPG: OK channel name, start and end time shown
Tune to channel:OK
View channel: Not OK. Random noises and some random shown blocks only. :(

Can someone with experience from FloppyDTV PLEASE have a look at the attached status of my configuration and suggest a solution? I only see some blocks and no sound in Firedtv viewer.
