    Hey Guys,

Looking at doing the switch over to MP2 from MP1.
One thing that concerns me though, is that there is no way to restrict media content on a per-client basis.
I have 3 kids, each with their own MP client setup. I would like to restrict the media content they have access to.
I don't want my 10 year old, for example, to have access to the "Breaking Bad" series, or have access to certain media content.

Is there a way to do this in MP2 ? Am i missing something ?

This is not yet possible. But User management will be part of MP 2.2.

Management will not be on a per-client basis but per user. Users are administrated on the server. So a user "Kid A" can log in on client 1 and watch with his own personal restrictions, then continue to watch on client 2 and still operate under the same restrictions.

    Media restrictions:
    • Filters all MI's according to their age certification. Almost all international systems supported and they can be translated to each other. Means, if you have movies with a German age certification, but you chose to use only US age certifications, the system will translate them
    • Deleting MI's
    • ...
    General restrictions:
    • Adding media sources
    • Usage of Plugins
    • ....
I don't want to mention more details. Surprises are also nice, right? :)
