I'm not sure why this thread https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...9/continous-glitches-livetv-both-sd-hd-83762/ was closed, but the bug is still there. Please read this thread for all details.

Is there any chance that the change that is causing this stutter (which tsreader version this is can be found in the forementioned thread) is changed back, so nobody will have this stuttering anymore. This change apparently is causing more harm than good.

Please try this :

the powerDVD10 codec for HDTV
The DLL V0020 Here
And use 50hz

...do you mean that I have to download dshowhelper_owlsroost_v0020_buffer5_dll_and_patch.zip ?
and what do you want me to do with the .dll and .patch?

Unfortunately this version works worse for some people but better for others. We went with the version that was found to be best for the most people.

I am no specialist at all in this field and tried for months to get rid of glitches not only in livetv but also in recordings. I tried a lot of different codecs but the problem never disappeared. Sometimes it worked for on or two days and then it started all over again. I even thought of bad signal levels from the cabel my computer is connected to.

Now I have found by chance a workaround, and mayby somebody with more knowledge can find out what has to be done that it works directly in MediaPortal, which I otherwise like very much.

The workaround is: I stop win 7, run Linux (Ubuntu I have on another partition of the same computer with the same hardware) , start MythTV with perfect TV images, stop MythTV and Ubuntu, boot windows and run Mediaportal ---> the glitches are gone. I verified this behaviour at least 10 times.

    best regards

Could MythTV somehow be 'initialising' your TV card? I don't know if this makes any sense at all.

To be honest, this sounds to me almost a placebo effect. However, if you are absolutely sure that this is curing the problem, I'd be interested if anyone has a theory.
