Continually crashes on startup (1 Viewer)

I just installed MediaPortal 0.2.2.0 on the laptop described below, and when I run the .exe it comes up with an error. The error code is: 0xe0434f4d.

The setup runs fine, but when I actually try to run MediaPortal, that happens.

Please help, I'm only going to use this for the photo slideshow features and weather feed, it's going to be the basis of a digital picture frame

Hi bugmenot,

MP will not run particularly well without a dedicated video card. That being said, I do have it running (slowly) on my laptop. I suggest you download the video drivers from the manufacturer, and install all windowsupdates.

Update: It hangs on the "Starting plugins" splash graphic, after giving me some errors that I can't read (under the semi-transparent graphic) regarding DirectX and software rendering.

I guess it's hopeless
