Converting recorded tv (1 Viewer)

OK, so mediaportal is up and running well for the most part. Previous to mediaportal I have briefly used GBPVR and another. In those, you could tell it to convert your recorded files to another format to save a ton of space.

I know there is a way to to this using mediaportal but could not find any decent instructions. I have messed with a fwe things but nothing seems to work.

Anyone willing to help me out?

Someone is developing a new video transcoding plugin. I don't know much about it, as I do all my editing and transcoding outside of Media Portal.

I use the DVR-Mpeg plugin to remove commercials. The go to TV->Recorgings->Convert to MPEG2 (the DVR-Mpeg plugin also does this conversion, but it doesn't update the database so the converted file isn't listed under TV recordings). After than I just use VirtualDub to convert to AVI with DivX/MP3.

I use Crunchie which I've set to run as a nightly scheduled task. It uses DVRMSToolbox to initially convert the DVR-MS file to mpeg then it's set to re-encode to xvid, works great for me.
