Is this a long process? The reason for doing this in the 1st place was to keep the conversion time down.

My lord of the rings conversion was 2 stage

I loaded each disc into DVDShrink and reauthored both main movies at the same time, then used VOBmerge to join them together to get the whole movie.

Don't know if this helps.

Emilius, the problem here is that doing this at 20/30 minutes ontop of the dvdshrink and convert means I am back to over an hour per movie for conversion, that still puts me at around 600 hours work.

I hope some how I can figure out how to change the duration in the vob, that way I end up with good quality playback and compatibility with all 3 units with a turnover of about 25 minutes per movie and lets face it 300 hours is better than 600.

Hi Everyone,

I decided not to turn this forum into a discussion point for converting .vob to mpeg, as it detracts from it's real purpose which is MP.

So I have created a blog, which describes my methods of conversion, dvd's which have been successfully converted and tested so far and those which have failed so far.
