Wakeup after sleep

Sorry for bringing this old topic back to live.
I have a Coolreceiver remote Y0400033 which came with DTV2000 TV card and installed the coolreceiver plugin. This is a very good program, I used the modified dll from this thread, acptured all codes and got all buttons working. I am a very happy chap now. Big thank you to all members contributed to the development. :D
I do have a question which probably was covered somewere else before, but I couldn't find the required information:
Is it possible to wake up my computer using the remote control. I use the remote "SLEEP" button to hibernate PC and it goes asleep almost instantly. The problem is I can't get it to wake up using any buttons. I tried all different settings, including "Mouse Move" and "Mouse DoubleClick", enabling "WakeUp on Doubleclick" option in the motherboard BIOS without much success. I have to add when I just simply move a real mouse or push any keyboard key, PC wakes up and I get everything back up in 5 seconds. Very impressive.
Also please note, I can do sleep and wake up using remote with the PVR2 software which comes with the TV card.
So what is there doesn't work?

I'm glad you like the plugin :)
If sleep works with PVR2 it should work with MP, you should check what type of sleep PVR2 is using and choose the same in MP. Did you try if it works with WFMultRM.exe replacement file from my plugin? Sleep/WakeUp option doesn't have anything to do with coolreciver it is MP function which is called when you press the button. Also it would be great if you could post codes for your remote so I can put them in the plugin once I grab some free time.

Here is my coolreceiver.xml file the way I customised it. You can see all my remote codes as well as setting for "SLEEP" button. In the motherboard BIOS I have S3 (suspend to RAM) enabled. When I don't have MP loaded the PC goes to SLEEP mode and wakes up from the remote Power Button. I am not sure how I can check what suspend mode is used there. I also attachied a log file generated by MCE Standby Tool, maybe someone more experienced can see what suspend mode is used there. All entries, but the last suspend/wakeup cycle, were logged without MP running. Every time I could wakeup the PC without problems. The last entry in the log file was captured with MP loaded. To wake up my PC I had to move mouse (USB - wireless).
BTW, the modified WFMultRM.exe file works without any problems.
When I think about the reason for not being able to wake up PC reliably I can only assume the pluggin is not shutdown, still running in memory. Therefore when it receives code from remote, it doesn't know what to do, as there is no such function as WakeUp in the remote mapping.
I don't know how hard this would be to achieve:
1. When PC is running pressing the Power button will close MP, leaving Windows Running. This is to be enabled under condition that MP is running.
2. When "SLEEP" button is pressed, PC goes to standby mode - unconditional action.
3. When PC is in standby mode, pressing the Power Button will perform WakeUp from StandBy action (this function doesn't exist in mapping list). So the wakeup action will be performed under condition that PC is in standby mode.
Is it possible at all to create these missing actions and conditions?
I am sure that a lot of questions and problems people have using remote controls and trying to use power management will be answered.

You can find power management explained here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Configuration_and_Power_Interface. My guess is that PVR puts the TV card in some kind of suspend mode before it puts PC to sleep so TV card is ready to detect remote in standby, and that doesn't happen when you use MP. Since PC (CPU) is not running in standby S3 mode plugin can't implement wakeup. Wakeup happens when hardware generates interrupt request which triggers routine that restores PC to operating state.
Thanks for remote mapping file I will include it in next plugin update.

Your plugin is cool. It helps me :) I needn't sleep with keyboard, when I'm wathing or listenin MP before sleep :) but have a small problem. I downloaded the latest version of PVR2 and now it's not using that program for remote, where u can choice what u want (turn off, tv, fm ...) so when I'm using this file modifed by u, it's not now work.. Are u goin' to relase some new version of your plugin ?

thank for answer..
