Hi,

after upgrade from CoreAVC 2.0 to 2.5 with MP 1.1.2 i always get "unable to play video" error on mkv files, besides everything works in WMP.

Before with CoreAVC 2.0 everything Works ok.

If I switch the h.264 Codec in MP configuration to MPCVideoDEc, FFDSHOW or Cyberlink PDVD 8.0 everything works ok.

Please help.

:D

    Hi

I am experiencing the same behaviour here.

    Uninstalled CoreAVC 2.0 -> Install CoreAVC 2.5.

Unable to start HD TV stream on client.

However shifting back and forth between SD and HD channels and HD to HD channel actually gets it working. No reproducable pattern though and highly unreliable.

Has reverted to 2.0 for the time being.

    Regards

    Olebent

    Ups,

Just made a new entry for similar problem. But I was more focussed on Windows 7 x64 issues.

Same for for me, no .mkv files with 1.2.0 beta playable with CoreAVC 2.5

    And in addition:
when i start mediaportal, switch on TV Mode with a h.264 channel i get "unable to play stream".
but if i start a mpeg2 stream i can switch to any h.264 stream afterwards.

    logs only provided for tv-mode.

going back to CoreAVC 2.0 for now, i'm using CUDA anyway.

In my thread for Windows 7 x64, there was a reply by Keithwhite. He had a similar problem resolved by changing the sound driver to the Nvida one.
I am currently not at my HTPC to follow up this suggestion, but maybe somebody else can check this as well.

    Cheers
