Hi,

my MKV files plays fine using CoreAVC on WMP, but not with MP. In this situation even with the same graph shown on GraphEdit for the WMP and MP, in MP I only hear sound with no image, just plain black. The oddest thing is if I pause the film, the stopped image (frame) is shown ok (as it should, with OSD and everything), it is like the image is there all the time but overlaid with a black image.

As you can see I also have ffdshow and PowerDVD Ultra 8 installed, and both works ok under WMP and MP (but I prefer CoreAVC results) .

Can you help me please? thanks in advance.

Have you tried AVC 1.7 Version? I have solved it in MP-Player with that Version

    Hi Domarkas, Thanks.

Yes, I use the CoreAVC 1.7.0 but it gives me this problem.

    Sorry Spragleknas

    Please see attached.

I have played a movie (black screen with sound) and paused it twice (both show the picture frame ok and MP OSD).

    Thanks

    Hi again,

I have installed the new CoreAVC 1.8.0, but the problem remains the same.

    Any help would be appreciated

I have the same issue. It's not every mkv, though. Most work. Switching to PowerDVD codec x264/h264 codec plays the mkv which don't play with CoreAVC, but I prefer CoreAVC. MediaPlayer Classic plays the mkv's which don't work in MP perfectly, using CoreAVC. Have you found a solution yet?
