For some reason when I watch videos using the coreavc codec in media portal deblocking doesn't seem to be active, but when I watch the same file in media player classic with the coreavc codec, deblocking is on (I can see the difference) and I can actively turn it off and on from the coreavc settings panel.
But these settings don't ever seem to have any effect on x.264 via coreavc in media portal. I put media portal in window mode and ran graphedit and have confirmed that it is using the coreavc codec, but the picture looks worse then it does in MPC because of the blocking issues.
Any ideas?
