Could AI create a WYSIWYG skin editor for MediaPortal 1? (3 Viewers)

I have wanted to create a skin for MePo for years, but lack of free time due to other time demanding creative output (i.e. hobbies) I have not gotten past creating mockups of my skin ideas for when I could have time in the future. But, the future seems to be here now, with the AI explosion, good or bad. I've never tried using AI myself, but as far as I understand, it can really take you where you want to go really fast if you know what you're doing.

Is this a good idea, what says the skin community?

Mockups can turn into a workable skin layout, but I'd treat AI as a starting point rather than a shortcut past understanding MediaPortal's XML skin structure. The risk is generating something that looks right in a preview yet breaks on real TV resolutions or odd DPI settings. I'm weighing whether a visual builder approach is worth the learning curve for a first skin, and came across Best Builder.io Alternatives (2026) while looking at options. Has anyone here actually moved from mockups to a functioning MePo skin using AI assistance?
